Resources

One of the best groups to join is the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of Canada (toller.ca). Established in 1974, it was formed to promote and educate people about Tollers in Canada. Membership fees are only $25 a year and for that you have access to all sorts of great information including the club’s quarterly newsletter, awards and scholarships and the Toller Breeder Directory.

Social media has helped connect Toller enthuiasts all across the world. I’m a member of several Toller Facebook groups including Tollers the best dogs ever, . If you purchase a Toller puppy from a reputable breeder chances are pretty good that they will have a Facebook group to keep everyone who purchases a puppy from them stay in touch by posting pictures and puppy updates.

There are also a handful of special Toller events happening this year that I know of including the Canadian National Speciality 2026 which will be held from June 16 to the 21 in Dorchester, Ontario along with the Ontario Toller Club’s show.

There’s also a fabulous event called Tollermania that takes place every October in New Germany, Nova Scotia.  (see Facebook page by same name). It is getting a lot of attention from Toller lovers all around the world. I have been every year and met some wonderful Toller lovers at this event. I encourage you to check it out!
