One of the best groups to join is the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of Canada (toller.ca). Established in 1974, it was formed to promote and educate people about Tollers in Canada. Membership fees are only $25 a year and for that you have access to all sorts of great information including the club’s quarterly newsletter, awards and scholarships and the Toller Breeder Directory.

Social media has helped connect Toller enthuiasts all across the world. I’m a member of several Toller Facebook groups including Tollers the best dogs ever, . If you purchase a Toller puppy from a reputable breeder chances are pretty good that they will have a Facebook group to keep everyone who purchases a puppy from them stay in touch by posting pictures and puppy updates.

There are also a handful of special Toller events happening this year that I know of including the Canadian National Speciality 2022 which will be held from August 25 to 28 in conjunction with the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry show in Long Sault, Ontario. For more details please visit the club’s national speciality page.

There’s also a brand new event called Tollermania in New Germany, Nova Scotia in October (see Facebook page by same name). It is getting a lot of attention from Toller lovers all around the world and it sounds like it will be an exciting event with lots of people and their dogs in attendance.
